Springboard’s Justice Services (JS) programs support youth and adults involved in the justice system to navigate the justice system, increase their skills and capacity, support reintegration into communities, and access resources to aid them in achieving their goals. The programs include community-based programs, as well as an open custody/detention live-in program, Terry Fox House.
Additionally, Springboard is leading a five-year systems innovation project funded by the Youth Opportunities Fund (YOF) through the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF), in collaboration with five community partners:
This project brings together youth, service providers, and justice and sector professionals to improve how the justice system responds to Black and racialized youth who are neurodivergent, including youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
By listening to lived experience, strengthening collaboration across services, and identifying practical ways systems can work better together, the initiative aims to make justice-related supports more accessible, coordinated, and responsive for young people and their families.
We are grateful to the Ontario Trillium Foundation for their support.
“…I had been struggling to get this completed for months through the courts. I am extremely grateful and happy I was connected with Springboard!”
