FUNDING FOR EMPLOYERS TO INVEST IN EMPLOYEE TRAINING

Canada-Ontario Job Grant (COJG) helps employers invest in their workforce by providing direct financial support for employee training. Open to small, medium, and large businesses, COJG funds short-term training for new and existing employees.
  • Employers can get up to $10,000 in government support per person for training costs
  • Small Businesses (1-99 employees) only need to contribute 1/6 of the total training cost
  • Large Businesses (100+ employees) need to contribute 1/2 of the total training cost

REQUIREMENTS

  • Only employers are eligible to apply for the Canada-Ontario Job Grant.
  • Training must be delivered in Ontario by an eligible third-party trainer and completed within one year.
  • Participants must live in Ontario and be Canadian Citizens, Permanent Residents, or Protected Persons.
